Oregon Trunk Railway The Oregon Trunk Line was incorporated on February 24, 1906 to build a railroad up the Deschutes River for 250 miles. On October 30, 1909, the Oregon Trunk Railway was incorporated to build from the Columbia River to Klamath Falls and took over the assents and route of the previous company. The SP&S became directly involved in 1910 and operated the line until the BN merger. The Oregon Trunk remained on paper until corporate restructuring in 1981. Copyright 1999 Ronald G.
