Ruth Realty Company
(formerly Ruth Trust Company)

     The Ruth Trust Co. was formed on July 9, 1908 to handle town sites and other property along the United Railways.  The company was named for the daughter of then United Ry. President Greenough.  The name was changed to Ruth Realty Co. on June 3, 1913 in accordance with a new Oregon law regarding trusts.   Ruth Realty continued to serve as the land development arm of the SP&S until the Burlington Northen merger.  On November 1, 1979, Ruth Realty was merged into the Oregon Trunk Railway Co., under BN control.
